PEAU D’ORRIS V2 is a measured continuation of the original PEAU D’ORRIS; not as a replacement, but as a warmer coordinate of the same skin-leather chypre architecture. Where the original studied the phenomenon of orris slowly dissolving into leather, oud, moss and animal warmth to form the human-human skin interpretation, V2 moves closer towards a more furred and golden state of the same idea.

It exists as a bridge between the original PEAU D’ORRIS and EDITION GOLD 50°. The first carried the flesh of orris; the latter pushed that structure into a denser field, where osmanthus, oud, orris and musk formed a more gilded body. V2 stands between them, preserving the breath and intimacy of the original while allowing the golden warmth of the Edition 50° to pass through with more softness, weight and physicality.

Here, the orris is no longer merely powder or root. It becomes a medium; a violet, suede-like surface where oud, musk and animalics begin to coalesce. The leather is less external, less worn, and more inhabited. It does not sit on the skin as a separate object, but slowly approaches the warmth of human-to-human contact, as if the scent is finding equilibrium with the body itself.

The golden hue in V2 is not only visual or ornamental. It is textural; an impression of warmth, pelt, shadow and intimacy, almost like a quiet tiger-skin effect held within the discipline of a classical chypre. A structure guided by heritage, but recomposed through study, empiricism and the endless patience of materials learning where they are meant to be.

Composed as a measured superposition between the original and EDITION GOLD 50°, V2 lets orris, Osmanthus, Oud, and Musk converge into the warm eigenstate of glowing skin.
