LE PACTE DU SULTAN

Began in 2019 as my personal leather chypre, something I had built not with the intention of immediate release, but as a private direction, a structure I wanted to live with and understand over time. It remained close to me for years, returning in fragments, until I finally began reworking it more seriously throughout 2024. With each adjustment, it gradually moved nearer to the image I had held for it from the very beginning. 

It is my extension of traditional Gulf perfumery i.e of that older world where exoticism moved with weight, depth, and quiet grandeur. What I sought here was not simply to echo that heritage, but to let it flow further into the architecture of complex traditional French fine art perfumery, where structure, texture, and transition become part of the soul. 

Consequence:

A leather chypre superimposed thorugh incense, animalic furr and exotic richness subtending with discipline, morality and old langauge.
